DNA learns
[Qhaosing®.connection]. David Charles Baulcombe won the Balzan Prize (which promotes world culture, science and humanitarian initiatives) for discovering that our lifestyle affects not only ourselves but our descendants, too. In practice, our DNA “learns“. Each life experience more or less significant is stored in our genetic structure, and in particular in the genes. Molecules “soak” of the emotions experienced, either positive or negative. Epigenetics, the science that studies the influence of the environment on DNA, warns us: our professional and private life style will not forget and it becomes real in the future generations. Therefore, being less stressed, exercising and harmony with nature becomes a duty and a pleasure, not only for ourselves but for our children and our children’s children, too.
